I Love You

Hello everyone
It's Erika here again with another card for you.
Today I have made a card using an adorable image called Girl With Kite.

For this card I did something a bit different. Usually I color all my digital images with Copic Markers, but now I wanted to try watercolor. So I used my Distress Markers and a water brush to color this image. Coloring with watercolor or distress markers are a bit different from copics, but I think it turned out quite ok. I like the look of watercoloring and I will definitely try it some more.

For the rest of the card I kept it pretty simple and used some adorable papers from My Minds Eye and to give the card some interest I die cut the image with a spellbinders die leaving a small part around the kite so I could trim that out with my scissor. I like how the kite is flying outside the diecut circle.

I really hope you enjoyed the card today and be sure to check back tomorrow for some more cards from the rest of the amazing design team.

Thanks
/Erika

We are Proud of You!

Hi everyone,
My name is Sharon, and I am the face behind the SMSCRAPPER videos on Youtube, as well as The Night Owl Scrapper Blog. I love everything crafty, and I'm very into scrapbooking, card making, and altered projects. I have been creative, and into the arts all my life, being introduced to many different aspects of it since very young. I am the busy mom of a toddler, who loves creating, and sharing with people from all over the world. I've been actively scrapbooking since the end of 2008, and have been  making video tutorials, and more on YouTube since April of 2010. I currently teach at my local scrapbooking store, and have been lucky to work with several companies in the field. This hobby is my way to relax, and I could not live without it!

Today I'm very excited to share my Guest Design Post for The Paper Nest Dolls. I used Graduation Ellie for my card, and I loved using her, as well as the Glitz "Yours Truly" Design Paper.

Ellie is super adorable, and so easy to paper piece, which is what I did with her outfit. I colored her skin, hair, and accesories with my beloved Copic Markers. I added some cheese cloth for some texture in the back of the image, and added some paper flowers and some bling from my stash. Below you can see a picture of the inside of the card.

I enjoyed working with Ellie, and I hopeyou liked my project. Thanks so much to The paper Nest Dolls for inviting me to Guest Design. I had a blast! Take care everyone!

Ringmaster Ellie... On a Necklace!

Hello!  I am Kim of Kimbee's Creations.  I have been papercrafting for a long time...probably over ten years.  I started with scrapbooking and then eventually got hooked on card making about four years ago, while I was on maternity leave with my daughter.  I am also into other crafts, such as crocheting, jewelry making, altered arts, etc.  You can find some of my finished products in my blog of course and my Etsy store.

It is my pleasure to be guest designing for The Paper Nest Dolls!  Christine's stamps/images are super adorable and fun to color!

I've made lots of cards with The Paper Nest Dolls images already so for my post today, I decided to make this pendent using a round glass dome and pendent tray.  I used Ringmaster Ellie.  This pendent necklace is super easy to make.  I colored Ellie and adhered her to the glass dome. I then glued the glass dome to the tray.

The pendent is about an inch in diameter.  The ball chain is 24 inches.

I hope everyone enjoyed looking at my project as much as I enjoyed making it!

Mermaid Ellie with Manatee

Happy Wednesday everyone, I do hope you are all feeling well!! It's Lydia here today and I thought I would share a card with you using one of my favorite mermaid images with you.. Mermaid Ellie With Manatee ...

And a lil' close up ...

I so do love this image- the way her hair flows and that cute little manatee are just so easy to love.

After I coloured this little beauty up, I added embossing glitter to her tail - it just gives a great effect, just like I imagine a real mermaids tail to be! ;)

I hope I have inspired you this Wednesday morning and remember this image as well as many other little cuties are available in the store ... in digi and also in rubber !!! YAY....

PS. Don't forget to check out this fortnights The Paper Nest Challenge for a chance to win some fab goodies!!! This fortnights challenge is 'Happy, Happy Birthday'.

Sending Hugs

Hello
It's Erika here again with another card to share with you.
This time I had some wonderful stamps from The Paper Nest to work with and I chose this cute little fairy called "Faerie With Flower Umbrella". Isn't it the most adorable image?

This card is made using some great patterned papers from the Echo Park Sweet Day Collection. I just loved this 6x6 paper pad and I think they worked so well together with the digital image.

As usual the image is colored with Copic Markers and unfortunately I can't remember what colors I used. For some reason I always forget to write that down and by the time I put my markers back I forget which one I used.

On the little fairy wings I added some diamond stickles as a final touch. Love the way they turned out.

Hope you like the card
