Just a Girl and Her Cat

Hi crafty friends!  

It's Amanda here with my very first card with Paper Nest Dolls!  

I am so excited to share this Build Your Own Nest card!  I had so much fun creating my own living room!  I felt like an interior decorator!  

To create this card, I printed the background first on a piece of 80lb. Neenah Solar Classic White cardstock.  I cut it down to A2 size (4.25" x 5.5").  The background consisted of the window, frame, and the rug.  

Next, I printed all the other images on a separate piece of cardstock.  Before printing, I put the cat and the girl on their chairs so that I didn't have to cut them out separately.  I also put the books under the table.

I colored all the images with my Copic markers and then used precision scissors to cut each image out.

Hair:  E29, E09, E08

Skin: E11, E00, E000

Grays: N04, N03, N02, N01

Yellows: Y17, Y04, Y02, Y00, Y000

Greens: G20, G24, G12, G00

Browns: E35, E34, E31, E30

I used 3D foam squares to adhere my images to my scene, except for the items on the table.  I used liquid glue for those items.  

There are so many possibilities with this Build Your Own Nest set!  I can't wait to make more scenes!

Tropical feeling

Hey sweeties, today it is my, Sandra's turn to show you something really cool!

Have you ever used a digital stamp and made it into a cutting file?
I used Surfer Emma with glasses from our beloved Paper Nest Dolls new release and got her on a tanktop I sewed for my daughter.

It looks so absolutely tropical and summerly and my daughter LOVES everything about it!

The bright colors and the reflections on Emma's glasses are way too fun.

You Are My Summer

Stacey here to share my very first project as a Design Team Member for Paper Nest Dolls!!

I'm so excited and am looking forward to sharing with you my creations using these adorably cute stamps!

Here is a look at the card that I created to share with you all today using a new stamp that hit the store earlier this week for the June Release.

I created my card base from some white cardstock and layered some pretty pink patterned paper on top. I added some striped patterned paper, a little scallop border and added some crochet thread. For my main focal piece, I die cut two circles, one from yellow and one from white. I inked around the edges of my white circle with some blue ink & added some Kraft cardstock to act as sand to create my scene. I colored that adorable digi called, Surfer Emma with my Copic markers and used my Scan N Cut to cut her out. I popped her up onto my card with some foam tape and added a small amount of gold glitter glue here and there on the sand for some sparkle. I completed my card by heat embossing my sentiment, adding a palm tree as well as some enamel dots.

I think Surfer Emma is so incredibly cute and makes such a perfect addition to a summer themed card!

Cool Couple By Cat

It's Cat  here!

So today's DT Inspiration is the new digis from Paper Nest Dolls, Surfer Emma and Surfer Owen 

As so many of us wont get to go and a sunny vacation I thought a really cheerful summer card was needed, and these two looked perfect to be a couple who serf the waves together!

Sea: Cool Aqua, Pastel Blue, Blue Pearl, Arctic Blue,

       Hair: Gold, Summer Sun, Buttercup.

       Shorts: Pear Green, Lime Twist, Lime Zest

      Hair: Tan, Vanilla, Ivory

      Board: Vanilla Ivory, Gold, Summer Sun, Buttercup, Rose Pink, Mulberry, Pink Lobster

This was added to some tropical papers and a die cut Glasses from Tattered Lace and a surf board from Cottage Cutz.

Sentiment was created in Word using the font 'I heat Summer'

Life's a beach

Hi there, have you already seen the new cool release from Paper Nest Dolls? 

I couldn't resist surfer Owen and had to make a summerly, tropical-influenced card. 

With some design paper in the background, a few die cutted leaves that I colored with my Copic Markers, a wonderful beach scene was created.
